Tongued Kisses A poem by Soulla Christodoulou

73

Poetry by Soulla Christodoulou

Tongued kisses…

With glowing readiness

The constancy of night, of stars

Ancient romance claps forth

Beautiful mouths and tongued kisses

Ripe with agony, a moaning

Trembling in the early awakening of lust

Dreams running wild, trumpets loud

She wonders of spring grace beside

As the sky touches her knowing promise

Virgin milk spilling and rose fingers playing

Running wild heart beating

Sleep no longer normal, evading her

Purpled pain unwilling to float above

Wilting in love’s hot passion

As she plots to cheer her keeper

Stiffened by poetic writing, a curtained weight

Shaking the privacy of unsolved riddles

Yet tiny and alone she shines on

Strong and with resolve.

Thank you so much for joining me this week. I hope you enjoyed this poem which I wrote back in June 2017. I figured it was the right time to share it with you.

With much love, Soulla xxx
