A Poem by Soulla Christodoulou – The Calm Before The Storm

57

This week I’m sharing one of my shorter poems from my e-book collection Sunshine After Rain.

I’ve chosen this poem because so many of you have posted images and quotes about struggling and life getting on top of you. It’s hard keeping up with everything life expects of us and also what we expect of ourselves.

I’ve learnt to ride the waves and the storms in my life simply by believing there is a time for everything and everything has its time. If I’m not able to do something now, because my energy is flagging or my creative vibes are not in sync with the project I’m doing, I take a step back.

Often doing something different and unrelated subconsciously works its magic and I return with some of my best ideas and sometimes my project goes in a different direction altogether. It’s about being flexible. Let life lead you.

Life, as does love, flirts with us and teases us with temptation and the here and now…go with your gut instinct and allow your own vibrations to lead you and to attract the energy you need to make those successes yours and to reach your goals. You will get there and you will be in a different place in six months time then you are now…small steps, discipline and self-motivation with a big heap of passion will get you to where you want to be…just don’t give up.

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

She flirted

               teasing him

Biting hard

                on her lower lip

Playing with her

                long dark hair

Her smile

                melting his heart

Her brown eyes

                holding his gaze

The calm

                                before the storm.

I hope you enjoyed The Calm Before The Storm and if you’d like to read more of my poetry collection Sunshine After Rain then why not download your copy from Amazon?

Thank you for reading and I’d love to hear what your goals are and how you’re achieving them or what you do to get back on track with your writing or life itself.

And until next week Happy Reading, Happy Writing, Happy You.
