Hello and welcome to this week’s special post on kindness.
I often use the hashtag #kindnessmatters because I really do believe that being kind makes all the difference not only to our own lives but the lives of others.
This was proven to me with two beautiful acts of kindness and generosity and love recently.
I received a beautiful signed book gift from Roselle, children’s author and illustrator, and it brought Eleni (and me!) so much joy.
We read the book together, Sleepless Maple, over and over and we created some fun art sessions from it. The illustrations kept us chatting long after we had closed the last page.
We spent some time outdoors collecting crunchy autumn leaves and grass and created an autumn tree picture. Eleni loved crunching up the leaves and pasting the glue on the page… needless to say the glue was everywhere and days later I was still sticking to the table as I was tutoring. So funny.
And furthermore, I received a cute little surprise package of old Cyprus postcards from an Instagram friend who runs her own Etsy business selling small individually handmade items and second-hand items and books for the home.
Louise’s beautiful mail arrived as I was setting up for my MacMillan Cancer Support event and in the middle of the chaos and running around to get things done, the postcards and her little message brought a smile to my otherwise frantic face.
I have made some lovely friends on social media and I cannot express my deep gratitude to Louise for sending me these. Her little note said she found them amongst her mum’s things and thought I’d like them since I’m from Cyprus and I write about Cyprus too. So thoughtful. Such a personal gift, wrapped with care.
When was the last time you were shown such kindness and generosity? I’d love to hear from you.

Wishing you all a lovely week full of love and kindness,
Until next week,
With much love, Soulla xxx
